PSYCHOPOMPS

The No Ring Circus’ second full-length production, Psychopomps, shepherds an audience of the recently deceased through a Dantean underworld in turmoil. The Psychopomps who have guided man for all eternity face obsolescence in mankind’s new age of self-sufficiency, and denial of the spiritual realm. Using sideshow and pain tolerance skills as a means to tell their story, the cast fuses performance art with linear storytelling. Written in poetic verse, featuring a cast of world-class sideshow talent, and an original score.

Psychopomps had a run of performances at The Fortress of Lushington in New Orleans in November 2018. Excerpts have been performed at Dances of Vice, House of Yes, Theatre Bizarre, and Wunderkammer Society’s taxidermy competition in 2019.
